Jake's 2 1/2 year update

Jake is now 2 ½ and is getting so big! We’ve heard that you can predict a boys height at 2 ½ by measuring them and doubling that height. Our little guy is 38 ¼ inches so if that holds true he‘ll be over 6’4”. He’s talking so much and it’s so nice that he can now tell us what he wants. Here are a few of his milestones:

*He’s potty-trained!! Hooray! He still has a few accidents here and there but he is using the potty full time.
*We’ve started him at Little Gym and he loves swinging from the bars and jumping all around.
*We are trying to get him to be a little more adventurous when it comes to food but for now he’s sticking to his staples (PB&J, Tilapia, fruit, cheese, bread, smoothies, etc…)
*He loves swimming! We’ve been taking him to the pool a lot and he will jump right in the water as long as he has his floaties on. He loves when daddy throws him in the air.
*He loves playing sports. He can’t wait for daddy to get home to go play with him in the backyard. He is really into baseball right now and has a pretty good swing; we’ve even lost a couple balls over the fence.
*He loves to read and has a few books that he can “read” himself:
We can’t believe we are halfway to 3 with our little guy. He is just amazing and we love him so much!
